Jeddah – On Sunday, October 12, 2025, Batterjee Medical College welcomed Mr. Raj Kurapati, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC), USA.
He was received by Dr. Ahmed Al Tayar, Chief Business Development Officer, and Dr. Mohammed Al Sheikh, Acting Dean. The meeting explored academic and research collaboration opportunities in education, training, and scientific development to enhance knowledge exchange and build competencies.
The visit included a tour of BMC’s modern classrooms, laboratories, and research centers, where Mr. Kurapati expressed his admiration for the college’s facilities and educational environment.
UTHSC is among the leading U.S. institutions recognized with the Carnegie R1 classification for very high research activity and hosts distinguished centers such as the Cancer Research Center, the Center of Excellence in Neuroscience, and the College of Pharmacy for Drug Discovery.
