Mental health is an integral part of overall well-being, however, it's a topic often clouded by stigma. The Batterjee Medical College is proud to host the Mental Health Research Forum: Strategies for Sustainable Wellbeing on October 15th, 2024. BMC College Mental Health Forum is an event designed to raise awareness, promote education, and foster open dialogue about mental health within the medical community to explore the latest advancements in research, share best practices, and foster collaboration in promoting mental well-being

Bridging the gap between research and practice, we aim to empower mental health professionals and the public with cutting-edge knowledge and tools

My research interest on molecular neuroscience and genetics. It’s focus on understanding the basic of neuro-genetic disorder with particular emphasis on comprehensive genomic sequencing to candidate gene associated-study, gene polymorphism and protein quantity.

Sabrin Ragab Mohamed Ibrahim
Professor of Natural Products Chemistry, Preparatory Year
Prof. Dr. Sabrin Ibrahim is Professor of Natural Products Chemistry. She is Deputy of Ethical and Scientific Research committees in BMC. She joined BMC as Professor of Chemistry since 2021. She pursued her PhD from Heinrich-Heine University, Dusseldorf, Germany in 2005, after completing Master`s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Faculty of Pharmacy, Assiut University in Egypt. She has worked as Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Professor of Pharmacognosy at Assuit University and Taibah University in Madinah Al-Munawara, Saudi Arabia as well. She has published 267 publications, two patents, and three book chapters. More than 35 highly indexed journals have her as an editor in their editorial boards. She is Co-I in more than 30 research projects at the national and international level. She is recognized in the world’s top 2% most important scientists in her field worldwide, according to the lists issued by Stanford University from 2021 to 2023.

Isolation and structural elucidation of biologically active metabolites from natural sources (Marine, Plants, and Fungi). Natural products chemistry and biology. Phytochemical characterization of the traditionally used medicinal plant.
