    Acting Head of Pharmacy Program

    Dr Nehmat Ghaboura is the Head of Pharmacy Program at Batterjee Medical College (BMC). After completing her PhD in Clinical and Experimental Pharmacology in France on 2011, she joined the Pharmacy Program at BMC (BMCPP) as an Assistant Professor responsible of teaching Pharmacotherapeutics course. In 2013, she was assigned to supervise the Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience and to be the coordinator for the cardiology rotation. On 2017, she was appointed the acting head of BMCPP, then the Head of the Program in 2024. At BMCPP, she is a member of the assessment committee, quality committee, and steering committee.

  • Mohamed Lotfy Morsi Ashour

    Professor

    Department of Pharmacognosy, Ain Shams University, Egypt. He got his PhD on 2010 from Department of Pharmaceutical Biology, Heidelberg University, Germany. Since that, he conducts his research in pharmacognosy, phytotherapy, phytochemistry He worked twice as a post-doctoral fellow at Institute of Pharmacy and Molecular Biotechnology in Heidelberg, Germany on 2012 and Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Faculty of Pharmacy and Biosciences, Innsbruck University, Austria on 2016. He is the coauthor of more than 70 international publications (research articles, review articles, book chapters).

  • Mohamed Abdel Daim Rezk

    Professor

    Professor Abdel-Daim is a highly cited researcher, according to Clarivate 2023. According to the AD Scientific Index 2024, he has been ranked as the FIRST among all researchers in Saudi Arabia in Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. He received his Ph.D. in 2010 from Kobe University Graduate School of Medicine in Kobe, Japan. Prof. Abdel-Daim is an experimental Pharmacology and Toxicology expert with over 500 ISI-published manuscripts. Owing to the recognition of his research works, he has been awarded various research prizes, including the State Encouragement Award from the Academy of Scientific Research & Technology, Cairo, Egypt, in 2014 and the First Class Medal of Excellence from the Presidency of the Arab Republic of Egypt on the national science day in August 2017. In 2020, he won the State Excellence Award for his scientific achievements. He served as an associate editor and reviewer in many indexed international journals.

With 14 years of teaching and research experience at undergraduate and post graduate levels, Dr Afzal published 6 USA and 1 Indian patents, 190 Research/Review articles,15 Book Chapters.

    Thirst area of research includes Neuropharmacology and drug discoveries for the treatment of neurological diseases, Biology of cancers and anticancer drug development.

She coauthors about 50 highly indexed (Q1 and Q2) publications in Scopus or Web of Science (research articles, review articles, book chapters). She is a reviewer in many peer-reviewed journals.

  • Anan Yousif Bakr Howsawi

    Lecturer of Pharmacy Practice

    Anan Howsawi is recognized for her proactive approach to advancing within the pharmacy education and pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors. She gained her master’s in science in clinical pharmacy from the university of Strathclyde, Scotland, UK.

    Research interest

    Anan's research interests include pharmacy education and training for undergraduate students, enhancing Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experiences, as well as focusing on pharmacotherapeutics and Pharmacoeconomics. So far, she supervised two research groups which depicts her dedication to education, research, and professional development positions. She is passionate about building and nurturing her impact on literature specialized in pharmacy profession and connections with fellow research pharmacists and colleagues in the affiliated institute, hospitals, or pharmaceutical companies, aiming to expand her network and collaborate for mutual growth.

  • Ahmed Elberry

    Professor

    Prof. Ahmed Elberry is the Head of the Pharmacy Practice Department at Batterjee Medical College, Pharmacy Program. He earned his MD and PhD in Pharmacology in 2005 from the Department of Pharmacology, Faculty of Medicine, Cairo University. Prof. Elberry has 26 years of experience teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students in medical and pharmacy programs at several institutions, including Cairo University, October 6 University, Nahda University, Beni-Suef University, and King Abdulaziz University. He has served as the Head of the Pharmacology Department at the Faculty of Medicine, Beni-Suef University. Prof. Elberry has published over 90 internationally recognized, highly indexed research papers.
